Coach, your positive influence on my life began early, continues today, and will last my lifetime. It started when I was in 5th grade, and my father walked me through the doors at the Turner’s Gym in Ambridge. Little did I know the profound impact that this moment would have on my life.
Your influence continued through Junior High and the countless hours spent in the B.E. Gym. These included study halls during the school day as well as practices after school. Summer break was only a break from school. Practices, plus camps and competitions filled the entire summer.
During High School, higher competition was added into this mix of practices and more practices. Included in these years of competitions were meets against other Western Pennsylvania Schools, trips to Ohio Invitations to compete against their best and always finishing each year with the Pennsylvania State Championships against the best Club and High School gymnasts the State had to offer.
Like so many of your gymnasts, my gymnastic career continued into college. Often during these years I found myself back at B.E. for summer practice. I considered these years an opportunity to give back to you and the younger gymnasts in your program. In the end I probably benefited as much as anyone.
So much of what I believe in today related to discipline, dedication, self motivation, “Can Do” attitude and teamwork come from those years I spent with you being one of your gymnasts.
I consider myself fortunate and blessed to have been part of your Ambridge Gymnastics Dynasty. It produced Champion Gymnast, but more importantly it created young men and gave them a blueprint for success in life.
There are no words that can ever express my feeling of respect and appreciation for all that you’ve done. I would simply like to say: Thank you, “COACH”

Frank,
I am sure that everyone, who has been coached and/or mentored by Dale Meddock, will echo your sentiments. Well said!
Frank,
Your words were well spoken and heartfelt as we all have the same feelings and appreciation. You put the thoughts to words very well.
